Tehzeeb Charitable Trust

Our journey started in 2015 when we registered as an incorporated charitable trust in Udaipur Rajasthan. The basis of our organization emerged from the persistent gender, economical, educational inequalities in India and the sheer need of finding –traditional cultural values missing, poor women and children are facing the trouble in learning and getting educated.

We started our work with funds raised largely from family and friends as most young organizations do. This was an important part of our journey, which brought in the spirit of volunteering and commitment to the team.

Since our inception in Udaipur, we have grown to other locations – with one training centers in Udaipur, an office at the same place. We also offer residential training to women from areas where we do not work through our Women Academy for stiching , cooking, paper bags, decorative stuff out of waste and have brought Women working in partnership with like-minded partners.

Helping Hand

there is no better gift than providing warm clothing to the needy during winter season. Lakhs of homeless experience bitterness of winter and are at a great risk of suffering from severe illnesses. Rise in air pollution levels and the early onset of winter this year have made them vulnerable, but at the same time it has given us an opportunity to serve humanity by donating blankets to the needy. So we donate Blankets and warm clothes.

New /old whatever we can we collect sponsorships too. Hundreds of people live on the streets, often without thick blankets or enough clothes to keep them warm. In some parts of our country, the temperatures may drop below zero degrees, especially during nights, and it becomes a matter of life and death for the countless homeless people struggling to survive the season. So we try to reach as much as we can to help them fight the cold nights.

Organization is making efforts to build more night shelters for the homeless in UDAIPUR in collaboration with the Rajasthan government. These shelters will be managed by the trained homeless community workers. They will also have Night Outs programmers, where they will reach out to the homeless twice a week, between 10pm and 4am. They offer medical help during emergencies and will assist them in accessing shelters, and donate blankets and warm clothes, among other things.
